New Pig Survey Shows Underestimation of Slip and Fall Risks


The world’s leading authority on leaks, drips and spills, located in Tipton, Pennsylvania, has a very peculiar name: New Pig. Still, it has information that is extremely relevant to the topic of personal injury, having recently released its current Walk Zone Safety Report. The report provides a comprehensive look at same-level slips, trips, and falls in workplaces and public facilities based on information gathered from surveys of professionals in multiple industries.

The data has been culled from those who work in the fields of maintenance, safety, health risk, and facilities management. Basically, what it shows is that many of the slip and fall incidents that occur at the workplace have been due to negligence.

Teen Killed in Shawnee Mountain Ski Accident


What are my legal rights if I am injured while skiing or snowboarding?

A 15-year-old girl from Singapore was recently killed while on a school ski trip to Pennsylvania’s Shawnee Mountain Ski Area. The young girl reportedly lost control and skied off the bottom of one of the resort’s trails.  The deceased teen attended Blair Academy in New Jersey, where her peers remember her as a bright and positive person.  This Pennsylvania ski accident is just one accident among a recent rash of ski related accidents to occur thus far this winter.

In early January, a Texas mom and her two young daughters fell off a chairlift at a Colorado ski resort.
